DAYTON, NJ-National storage container and moving company 1-800-PACK-RAT has leased a 57,885-space at 8 Nicholas Ct. here to serve as a customer storage center, container storage facility and offices. The company has self-storage locations in 62 markets nationwide, including 24 sites in New Jersey. Terms of the lease were not disclosed, but asking rents for other warehouse buildings in the area hover around $15 per square foot, according to LoopNet.
“PACK-RAT wanted to expand by opening a new hub in the area,” says John Kainer, a senior managing director with Colliers International New Jersey, who along with Joe Nitti represented the tenant in the transaction. “They wanted a centrally located space that would accommodate their storage containers and house their logistical business needs as well.”
8 Nicholas Ct. is a 144,000-sf warehouse complex located within one mile of I-95 in Dayton. Other tenants include self-storage facility Pss Warehouse, and natural foods manufacturer B&G. Nathan Demetsky of Cushman and Wakefield represented landlord ING Clarion.
