ORANGE COUNTY, CA-Aliso Viejo-based Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc. is doing high-end shopping in 2011. Last month, the real estate investment trust signed a $475-million deal for Hilton San Diego Bayfront, a 1,190-room hotel.
Sunstone is expecting to close the deal later this quarter. With this deal, the REIT will get a 75% stake in Hilton San Diego Bayfront. Sunstone is selling the 409-room Royal Palm for $130 million. The deal will be closed this quarter.For the full story, go to Orange County Business Journal.
