CHICAGO-Bentonville, Arkansas-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has purchased a 13.5-acre parcel within the Chatham Market shopping center near South Holland Road and 85th Street on Chicago's South Side. The company will construct its next city supercenter in the new location.

The retail giant has purchased the property from Chicago-based Monroe Investment Partners LLC. Wal-Mart will start the 155,000-square-foot store construction later this month. The Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. team represented the seller in the deal.For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business.
