CHICAGO-Austin-based American Campus Communities Inc. will build a student housing project consisting of 1,008 beds in Illinois. The $132-million student housing project will open in August 2012 at Northern Illinois University.

The two, five-story buildings will be the first student residence hall for the school. Units will comprise a shared study space, living area, washer and dryer and kitchenette. A community center measuring 32,839 square feet will accommodate a social lounge with fitness center, meeting space and gaming area.For the full story, go to Austin Business Journal.
