MILWAUKEE-Wave Development LLC intends to purchase and raze the buildings located to the south and west of the Johnson Bank building in Milwaukee in order to develop a new Marriott-branded hotel. The company plans to begin hotel construction in 2011. The project worth $50 million was approved by the city officials in January 2011.
