VERNON HILLS, IL-Legacy Capital Partners, a private equity investment company based in Ohio, has acquired a majority stake in Hawthorn Hills Square retail center. The deal values the 222,100-square-foot shopping center at $26.4 million or $119 per square foot. The center is located at the southwest corner of Milwaukee Avenue and State Route 60 in Vernon Hills.

Before the deal, a venture administered by Chase Properties Ltd. was the sole owner of the property, which Chase venture bought for $18.6 million in 2002.For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business.
