AUSTIN, TX-Samsung Electronics, one of the biggest chip makers based in South Korea, is expanding its only factory in the US. The company is spending billions for the expansion.

The plant, developed to make logic chips, will have a total of 2.3 million square feet in Austin, Texas. Construction is expected to be completed next month.
