LAFAYETTE, CA-Whole Foods Market is opening its fifth East Bay store in Lafayette. The retailer will open its new store measuring 25,000 square feet in the Park Plaza at 3502 Mt. Diablo Blvd.

The new Whole Foods Market store will replace a former Albertsons grocery store. Whole Foods, which already has stores in Berkeley, Oakland, San Ramon and Walnut Creek, acquired the Lafayette location in 2007.
