LOS ANGELES-Time Equities Inc. has opened its first West Coast office and has named 22-year industry veteran Andrew White to head the new office as managing director and western regional manager. The New York City-based investment, development and asset and property management management firm's new office is at 222 N. Sepulveda Blvd. in El Segundo.
White will spearhead TEI’s efforts in acquiring new properties, asset management of existing properties and establishing new JV operating partner relationships on the West Coast, according to an announcement from Time Equities. White will work with TEI’s asset management and leadership team to establish the West Coast office and build new relationships with brokers, owners, equity investors and lenders in the region. His primary responsibilities will include sourcing new acquisitions, managing existing and future investments in the area, working with current joint venture partners as well as creating new joint venture relationships. Currently, TEI has 12 properties in California, Oregon and Washington.
During his career, White has negotiated over $3 billion in commercial real estate transactions and has extensive principal investing and asset management experience that includes direct equity investments, JV partnership and distressed debt. He has worked for MetLife Real Estate Investments, ING Realty Partners and Berwind Property Group. Francis Greenburger, chairman of Time Equities, said in the announcement that White's institutional experience working for those three firms will help with fund raising and deal sourcing for Time's private equity real estate funds.
When White joined ING Realty Partners as senior vice president, he was responsible for value-added and opportunistic investments in the western US. He has structured and managed investments in all property types including office, industrial, retail and multifamily throughout the Western US, including redevelopment and construction projects with a major focus on office property. He most recently ran the West Coast office for Philadelphia-based Berwind as the company’s SVP and western regional manager.
White earned his MBA with a concentration in finance and real estate from the University of California, Irvine and his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia. He is a licensed real estate broker in California, and holds the CCIM professional designation from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute.
