MILWAUKEE-The city's Plan Commission has approved a new Walmart pharmacy and grocery store spanning 40,000 square feet in western Milwaukee in spite of opposition from the neighborhood. The proposed store will be constructed on a vacant parcel on the southwest corner of South 70th and West Main Streets.

The new Walmart store will be constructed by Dickson, Tennessee-based Gatlin Development Co. Inc. The city's Zoning, Neighborhoods and Development Committee will consider the project on Tuesday.For the full story, go to Business Journal Serving Greater Milwaukee.
