GURNEE, IL-Macy's Inc. is planning to open a new store on an old Circuit City store site at the Gurnee Mills mall located in north suburban Gurnee. The department store chain will open its 140,000-square-foot store in spring 2013.
The old Circuit City store will be demolished to make way for Macy's. The company will lease the store at Gurnee Mills, a 1.83-million-square-foot retail center, from Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group Inc.For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business.
