NEW YORK CITY-Waterkeeper Alliance of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is relocating to 17 Battery Place. The nonprofit has signed a five-year lease for 4,000 square feet of space in Whitehall Building.

The asking rent for the built-to-suit unit at 17 Battery Place was in the low-$30s range. The Moinian Group purchased the building in 2004 for $70 million from SL Green. Handler Real Estate represented the alliance, and Newmark Knight Frank represented the owner in the lease deal.For the full story, go to New York Observer.
