CHICAGO-A hotel investor based in Chicago has entered into a legal dispute over an unfinished 16-story hotel development in River North. A venture controlled by Oxford Capital Group LLC has purchased the construction loan on the failed building at 127 W. Huron St.
The building was supposed to be Staybridge Suites, a 216-room hotel. Corporex Cos. LLC, which purchased an $8-million claim on the project last year, is now competing with Oxford to take over the project. For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business .
