SAVANNAH, GA-Mid-America Apartment Communities Inc., a real estate investment trust based in Memphis, Tennessee, has purchased the Avala at Savannah Quarters, an apartment community consisting of 256 units in Savannah, Georgia. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Avala at Savannah Quarters, developed in 2009, contains a fitness center, park and play area, resort-style pool and picnic area. This is the second apartment deal for the REIT this month. For the full story, go to Atlanta Business Chronicle .
