TAMPA-Commercial real estate veteran reporter Carl Cronan lost his battle with cancer last week. Cronan most recently worked as the Tampa Bay Editor for the Gulf Coast Business Review.
Cronan served the journalism field for 25 years, “covering almost every newspaper beat imaginable,” he wrote on his LinkedIn profile. Prior to joining Gulf Coast Business Review, Cronan was the editor of Real Estate Florida magazine, which focused on the state’s commercial real estate industry. He also served as the Southeast regional editor for GlobetSt.com for two and a half years, and he was a contributor to Real Estate Forum magazine. Real Estate Florida was produced by ALM's Real Estate Media Group, which publishes GlobeSt.com and Real Estate Forum.
“Carl Cronan was more than a dedicated editor, writer and blogger,” recalls John Salustri, content director for GlobeSt.com, Real Estate Forum and Distressed Assets Investor. “He was a thorough professional and a truly good and gentle man. He will be missed.”
Cronan’s career path included nine years with the Tampa Bay Business Journal, where he started as a reporter and worked his way up the ranks to the commercial real estate editor position.
Cronan is survived by his wife, Roselle. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
