PORTAGE, IN-Fronius USA, a solar technology company based in Austria, is relocating its North American headquarters to Portage from Michigan. The company has plans to lease manufacturing space measuring 400,000 square feet in Portage to create nearly 512 jobs by 2016.
The state will provide nearly $4.2 million in tax credits to the company for its job creation plan. Fronius USA will invest over $26 million in its new plant in Portage. The new facility will also serve as headquarters for Fronius. For the full story, go to Chicago Sun Times .
