STAMFORD, CT-Education Realty Trust has started construction of the first two phases of Stores Center, a $220 million mixed-use center located close to the University of Connecticut. The $60 million worth development will feature 290 apartments as well as office, retail and restaurants.

The two phases are anticipated to be complete in 2012 and 2013. Education Realty, which owns and operates 57 collegiate housings in 23 states, announced its partnership in the Storrs Center development in September 2010. For the full story, go to Memphis Business Journal .
