LONDON-Hammerson plc has purchased a 999-year leasehold stake in 99 Bishopsgate, 26-story, 339,061-square-foot office tower in London EC2, from PRUPIM for GBP 100 million. PRUPIM acted as the agent of the Prudential Assurance Company Ltd. in the sale of virtual freehold interest to Hammerson.
Tenants in the building include Charles River Associates International, Deutsche Bank, Latham & Watkins and Korea Development Bank. Hammerson intends to renovate roughly 145,312 square feet so that it could occupy the space in 2012. For the full story, go to Europe Real Estate .
