
CHICAGO-Hyatt Hotels Corp. is buying 24 hotels spread around the country from Wichita, Kansas-based LodgeWorks LP for $802 million. The Chicago-based chain's subsidiary has agreed buy the portfolio comprising 3,527 rooms in hotels on the coasts.
Twenty one hotels are operating under the flagship of Hotel Sierra and Avia, two are Hyatt Summerfield Suites hotels and one is a Hyatt Place hotel. Hyatt has plans to reflag most of the hotels as Hyatt Summerfield Suites or Hyatt-branded hotels. For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business .
