CHICAGO-Deerfield-based Walgreen Co. is planning to open a store on Randolph and State streets. The company is nearing a lease deal for about 27,400 square feet of space at 151 N. State St.
Walgreen will occupy the former Loehmann's Holding Co. store at the building. Smithfield Properties LLC, a developer based in Chicago, is the owner of the retail space.
