PEARL RIVER, LA-Kansas City-based Associated Wholesale Grocers Inc. has started construction on a new distribution center spanning 720,000 square feet in Pearl River, Louisiana. The Gulf Coast Division grocery distribution center is being constructed on a 68-acre land.
Associated Wholesale Grocers started the construction work in late June and the facility will be opened in January 2013. The center will serve autonomous grocers in Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Texas and Georgia. For the full story, go to Kansas City Business Journal .
