MANCHESTER, UK-Scottish Widows, an insurer, has agreed to purchase an office building in Manchester from Hermes. The Manchester Evening News reported that Scottish Widows has purchased 101 Barbirolli Square in central Manchester for approximately GBP 30 million.

The Barbirolli Square property currently houses tenants such as solicitor DLA Piper and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Hermes purchased the center five years ago from Paul Sykes, a Yorkshire investor, for GBP 42 million. For the full story, go to UK Business Property .
