CHICAGO, IL-A hotel investor based in San Francisco is buying Westin O'Hare, a 525-room hotel at 6100 N. River Road in Rosemont, for approximately $53 million. A joint venture, which includes Chartres Lodging Group LLC, is purchasing the property for less than half the price Dallas-based Ashford Hospitality Trust Inc., the prior owner, paid for it in 2006.
Irving, Texas-based C-III Asset Management LLC, a special servicer managing the Westin, acquired the hotel last year from Ashford through a deed-in-lieu of foreclosure. For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business .
