KANSAS CITY, MO-McCrite Plaza Retirement, a senior-care center operator based in Topeka, is planning to open a $19-million senior community in the Briarcliff area of Kansas City. The 170-unit senior-care facility measuring 200,000 square feet will come up at Briarcliff Parkway just south of Missouri Highway 9.
Briarcliff Development Co.'s COO, Nathaniel Hagedorn, said that construction of the retirement community will start in the fall. The facility will have 40 assisted-living units and 130 independent-living apartments. For the full story, go to Kansas City Business Journal .
