MIAMI-Crocker Partners has tapped Cushman & Wakefield to lease SunTrust International Center. Crocker Partners just purchased the 420,857-square-foot property from Stiles Corp. and an unnamed partner. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Located in the heart of Downtown Miami at 1 Southeast 3rd Ave., the building’s major tenants include Ackerman, Senterfitt & Eidson P.A., Bank of America, Marcum, RR Donnelly & Sons and SunTrust Bank. Cushman & Wakefield senior director Jon Blunk will lead leasing efforts at the 31-story office tower. The asset is currently 82% occupied.
“SunTrust is going to be a lot of fun to lease,” Blunk tells GlobeSt.com. “It’s an extremely well-built building in a tremendous location. Crocker Partners will be making significant upgrades to the building, including main lobby and common area improvements, which will bring the building to a new level and help to retain existing tenants and attract new ones.”
Renovated in 2002, SunTrust International Center offers extensive on-site amenities, including banking facilities and delivery services, as well as access to public transportation, major highways and Miami International Airport. The building also offers the highest parking ratio of any office building in the Downtown submarket, along with public parking. The property was extensively renovated in 1990 and 2002 and the institutional owners recently completed a full modernization of the building’s 11 high-speed elevators.
Headquartered in Boca Raton, Crocker Partners also recently acquired One Financial Center in Downtown Fort Lauderdale and appointed Cushman & Wakefield as leasing agent. The company has also owned an adjacent 1.5-acre parcel at 200 S.E. 2nd St. since 2005.
