CHICAGO-Hearn Co., an office investment firm based in Chicago, has signed a contract to purchase the Helmut Jahn-designed skyscraper at 55 W. Monroe St. The company has agreed to purchase the 40-story tower for approximately $140 million.
LaSalle Investment Management, an investment advisory arm of Jones Lang, is the current owner of the 807,882-square-foot building. Hearn is buying the tower with an institutional capital partner based in New York. Jones Lang's Bruce Miller is negotiating the deal for LaSalle. For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business .
