WICHITA, KS-Real Development Corp. is planning to construct 230 apartments in the Bitting and Exchange Place buildings and an adjacent parking garage with 298 spaces. The new project, costing roughly $50 million, has been expecting HUD-backed financing for more than a year.

The city of Wichita has already pledged $10.3 million in tax-increment financing for the project. Dave Lundberg of Real Development said that the recent maintenance problems at Wichita Executive Centre will not affect the project. For the full story, go to Wichita Business Journal .
