SAN DIEGO-San Ramon-based 24 Hour Fitness is planning to expand and move three of its San Diego County clubs to Super-Sport locations in shopping centers. The fitness-club market leader will spend $20 million for its expansion and relocation.

The Balboa will occupy 65,000 square feet at the Vista Balboa Center in Kearny Mesa; Westfield UTC will take 45,000 square feet of the old Robinsons-May building; and Westfield Plaza Camino Real will occupy 56,000 square feet in another old Robinsons-May shop in Carlsbad.
