LONDON-Westfield Group, based in Sydney, Australia, has opened its Westfield Stratford City retail center adjacent to the 2012 Olympic Games site in London. The 1.9-million-square-foot shopping complex spans 70 restaurants, 250 stores, 3 hotels, 130,000 square feet of office space, a movie theater and a casino.

Westfield Stratford City was developed for GBP 1.45 billion ($2.3 billion). Westfield owns 50% and a partnership of APG Group and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board owns 50% of the complex. For the full story, go to Wall Street Journal .
