ARLINGTON, VA-Portals Crystal LLC, an investor based in Washington, DC, has acquired an apartment complex in Arlington. The firm has purchased the 539-unit Crystal Plaza complex from Smith Property Holdings for $191 million.
Arlington County property records revealed that Smith Property Holdings purchased the high-rise property for approximately $42 million in 2007. The multifamily sales team of Transwestern handled the sale. Recently, a subsidiary of Florida-based Priderock Capital Partners LLC bought the 244-unit Heritage at Old Town complex in Alexandria for $40.8 million.
