MELROSE, MA-Wood Partners, a developer based in Atlanta, has started construction on the first phase of a development to convert a mill site into rental housing in Melrose. The company is planning to construct 212 apartments on a 7.8-acre site in the first phase of the project.

The developer will renovate the four-story building to house 93 units and build three new buildings to accommodate 115 units. The first phase of the development is expected to be completed by February 2013. For the full story, go to Boston Globe .
