NEW YORK CITY-A plethora of real estate insiders will share their insights at next month’s 10th annual RealShare New York conference, as panels tackle facets of New York’s much improved commercial real estate market. Included at the event, to be held October 12th at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, will be a one-on-one conversation with Stephen L. Green, chairman of SL Green Realty Corp.

That conversation, part of the popular “Inside the Real Estate Mind” series, will be hosted by Michael Desiato, vice president and group publisher for ALM’s Real Estate Media Group. It promises to provide unique insight into the New York market from Green, who founded SL Green in 1980 and has been involved in the acquisition of over 75 office buildings in Manhattan, comprising a whopping 50 million square feet.

“A weak economy, global financial chaos and lack of real job growth have turned optimism into pessimism across the United States, but New York real estate has made a big comeback,” Desiato says. “At RealShare New York, you will have the chance to get inside information and network with city’s biggest decision-makers at New York’s longest running real estate event.”

According to Desiato, the event will feature speakers from some of the most powerful players in the US commercial real estate industry, including Lee Neibart, global CEO of AREA Property Partners; Howard Roth, global & Americas leader of real estate at Ernst & Young; David Greenbaum, president of Vornado Office; Hessam Nadji, managing director at Marcus & Millichap; and Richard S. Lefrak, chairman and CEO at the LeFrak Organization.

Another innovative draw at the conference will be RealShareCONNECT, a social networking platform. The free service will allow attendees to network at all stages of the conference, enabling them to set up meetings, view attendee lists, explore exhibits and gain access to bonus materials.
