So now Black Friday is starting late at night. Target is following Walmart's lead from last year and will open all of its stores at midnight on Black Friday and will remain open for 23 hours so customers can get deals earlier than early.
The two discounters aren't the only ones that will face off. Macy's will also open at midnight. And a lot of big-box retailers that have yet to announce their plans will surely follow suit if there is so much competition going in this direction.
We guess it's good news for people who like to stay up late. Making that 4 a.m. opening that was popular at stores in years past won't be necessary any more.
Of course, you really don't even need to leave the house at weird hours nowadays anyway. There are plenty of online Black Friday sales that take place on Thanksgiving or even before that.
It kind of makes the whole standing in a crazed crowd and fearing for your life thing seem kind of stupid, huh?
Is Black Friday relevant at all to you any more? Or was it never something you cared about in the first place?
