
HONOLULU-Mainland investors have purchased the Fairmont Orchid hotel situated on the Big Island for an undisclosed amount. Oaktree Capital Management LP has partnered with a subsidiary of Woodridge Capital Partners LLC to acquire the 538-room oceanfront hotel that sits on a 32.6-acre parcel along the Kohala Coast.
The acquisition was closed with a $78-million loan from Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and an associate of Archon Group LP. The hotel was earlier sold in 2005 for $250 million. For the full story, go to Pacific Business News .
