WASHINGTON, DC-McLean-based Hilton Worldwide is eying the Old Post Office Pavilion in Washington, DC, for a Waldorf Astoria hotel. The company has submitted its scheme for the site to the General Services Administration.

Hilton Worldwide and Metropolitan Partnership Ltd. will work together on the redevelopment. It has plans to turn the 112-year-old property into a 245-room hotel with high-end retail stores and four restaurants.
