CHICAGO-Golub & Co., a developer based in Chicago, has signed a contract to acquire a city-owned property in South Loop for nearly $6 million with plans to construct a 35-story apartment tower there. The $111-million, 392-unit apartment project will come up at the southeast corner of State and Ninth streets.

The Chicago Community Development Commission will consider the sale of the city-owned property to Golub on Tuesday. Golub already has plans for a 45-story apartment complex in Streeterville. For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business .
