LOS ANGELES-A lot has changed in Downtown Los Angeles, said John Cushman, co-chairman of Cushman & Wakefield. Commercial real estate developments such as L.A. Live, a growing office population and an increase in multifamily building, have transformed the area, he said. Cushman spoke here with GlobeSt.com's Bob Howard at the recent ULI Fall Meeting.

They also talked about:

  • The population of Downtown L.A. compared to Lower Manhattan.
  • The switch in ownership from Japanese investors to U.S. landlords.
  • How the US office market can rebound.
