WASHINGTON, DC-NHP Foundation, a nonprofit based in New York, has started construction on a senior living project in Washington, DC's 8th Ward. The project, called the Alabama Avenue Senior Living Community, comprises 91 affordable units and it is appraised at more than $16 million.

The project is a joint venture of NHP Foundation, District Development Group LLC and Allen Chapel AME Church/Vision of Victory CDC. The new senior living facility is scheduled to be constructed over the next 12 to 15 months. For the full story, go to Washington Business Journal .
