RICHFIELD, MN-Construction has begun on a new L.A. Fitness club at the former Kmart store site in Richfield. Kmart shut down the store at the Richfield site in 2009.

In April, California-based L.A. Fitness was planning to buy the 5-acre site at 6501 Lyndale Ave. S. Tom Martin from Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq managed the site selection process for L.A. Fitness.
