CHICAGO-A local division of Service Employees International Union is consolidating its three Chicago offices into a Pilsen building. SEIU Healthcare Illinois and Indiana will move 150 employees to the 69,000-square-foot building at 2229 S. Halsted St.
The union has leased the whole Halsted Street building from Chicago-based Sterling Bay Cos. for 18 years. Sterling Bay bought the building in 2009 for $2.6 million. The union is currently located 726 W. North Ave., 209 W. Jackson Blvd. and 820 W. Jackson. For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business .
