NASHVILLE-Brookdale Senior Living Inc. has acquired nine senior living centers for a total amount of $121.3 million. The Nashville-based company purchased the senior housing properties from an undisclosed REIT.

The nine communities contain 1,295 units. Previously, Brookdale had been operating the centers under long-term leases. Last September, Brookdale bought Horizon Bay Realty and in January 2011, it acquired 12 senior living communities in Texas and Oklahoma for $31.3 million.
