HANOVER, PA-Charlotte, North Carolina-based Snyder's-Lance Inc. is planning to build a research and development center measuring 60,000 square feet in Hanover. The company will seek the U.S. Green Building Council's Silver-level LEED rating for the center.

Snyder's-Lance will provide electricity from its 26-acre solar-panel farm to run the entire R&D center. The estimated cost of the project was not revealed. Construction is scheduled to be finished in Q4. For the full story, go to Baltimore Business Journal .
