BUFFALO, NY-An Amherst-based hotel management company will develop a mixed-use complex on the old hot-air balloon landing site situated on Rainbow Boulevard. The Niagara Falls City Council has selected The Hamister Group Inc. as the preferred developer for a $22.4-million project that was proposed in December.

The preliminary plan for the project calls for 24 residential units, 104 hotel rooms and 8,000 square feet of retail space. The city-owned site is situated at the northwest end of Old Falls Street. For the full story, go to Buffalo Business First .
