PORTLAND, OR-Northwest Academy has reached a contract to buy the former YWCA building situated in the Museum Place neighborhood in downtown Portland for $7.2 million. The YWCA of Portland put the five-story office and fitness property, 1111 S.W. 10th Ave., on the market in December 2010.
The art school will spend $5 million to upgrade the property. Debbie Thomas Real Estate is representing the buyer and Cushman & Wakefield of Oregon Inc. is negotiating for the seller. For the full story, go to Portland Business Journal .
