PETALUMA, CA-Regency Centers will break ground this week on a grocery-anchored retail center in Petaluma. The REIT will spend $61 million for the construction of the 378,000-square-foot shopping center, East Washington Place, on a parcel that earlier housed a junior high school.

The new center will include a 138,300-square-foot store for Target, 118,700 square feet for junior anchors, other shops and office space and 121,000 square feet of anchor space. The project is scheduled to be completed in summer 2013. For the full story, go to Commercial Property Executive .
