MANNHEIM, GERMANY-The passing of resolution by Kaiserslautern's city council clears way for a new shopping center. ECE Development will construct the new shopping center on the former Karstadt building in Kaiserslautern.
Stadtgalerie Kaiserslautern will contain 224,965 square feet of space and will include approximately 100 shops as well as 490 parking spaces. The 129,166-square-foot Karstadt building also forms part of the development. Jens Japel of ECE Development stated that the company is expecting to start the project in spring 2013.
