MILWAUKEE-Dennis Klein, chairman of KBS Construction Inc., is seeking approval to purchase a city-owned lot at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and 27th Street to construct an office measuring 70,000 square feet for the Wisconsin Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare. He is planning to break ground on April 1 on the two-story building.
The vacant block, which formerly housed a 12-story hotel, was bought by the city in 2001. City development officials are selling the two-acre block for only $1. For the full story, go to Business Journal Serving Greater Milwaukee .
