PALM BEACH, FL—CBRE continue its South Florida hiring spree with the addition of Russell Bornstein to its Boca Raton office. Bornstein comes on board as senior vice president to provide landlord and tenant rep services to retail clients in the Tri-County area.

"Russell's reputation and experience in the South Florida retail industry are invaluable qualities,” Ken Krasnow, CBRE managing director for South Florida, said in a statement. Krasnow went on to say that Bornstein is part of CBRE’s growth strategy in South Florida to be the leader in retail client service.

Bornstein joins CBRE from Grubb & Ellis, where he was also a senior vice president. Grubb & Ellis could not immediately be reached for comment.

Bornstein brings more than 26 years of experience in South Florida commercial real estate. He has advised clients including Wachovia Bank, BankAtlantic, BankUnited, Blockbuster Video, Outback Steakhouse, Dollar General, Boston Market, Shell Oil and Humana Health Plans. Bornstein is a member of ICSC and holds degree in Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University in New York.

Bornstein is the latest CBRE hire. In a move to be ready when the South Florida office market fully recovers, CBRE just hired four new leasing professionals in South Florida in January. Maggie Guajardo Kurtz and Diana Parker came on board from Cushman & Wakefield to handle office landlord and tenant representation in Miami-Dade County. Michael Wilson and Owen Sagar, based in the Boca Raton office, came over from Grubb & Ellis and will focus on servicing office property owners and occupiers in the Palm Beach County market.
