DALLAS-Ronald D. Addison joined Madison Title Agency as director of Texas operations and state counsel. Addison, who will operate out of the agency’s Dallas office, will be responsible for managing the southwest client portfolio, as well as developing and expanding services for commercial real estate property acquisitions, development and management.

Madison Title Agency is affiliated with Madison Commercial Real Estate Services (MCRES), which is headquartered in Lakewood, NJ. “Bringing onboard an attorney with Ron Addison’s strengths reflects our continued growth in the real estate market in Texas and throughout the region,” said Joseph I. Rosenbaum, president of MCRES, in a press release announcing the hire. “His thorough understanding of this competitive market will greatly benefit Madison, our affiliates and our clients.”

Addison joins Madison Title from a private law practice he founded in 2006. Prior to 2006, Addison was vice president and associate counsel at Stewart Title North Texas Inc., where he provided legal expertise and interpreted case law, legislation, and Department of Insurance rules, regulations and bulletins. Addison earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, and received his JD from Texas Tech University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas and the U.S. District Court, North District of Texas.

 


ACQUISITIONS AND DISPOSITIONS

 

  • AUSTIN-A local investor acquired a 44,000-square-foot tract of land at the northwest corner of RR 620 and Wilson Park Avenue in a Whataburger ground lease. Jeff Brand and Ashley Bentler of Brand Capital Partners represented the buyer. Jason Middlebrook with SRS Real Estate Partners represented the seller in the transaction, 69 Grandview LP.
  • TUCSON-Arizona Community Physicians Inc. of Tucson acquired a 10,185-square-foot office building at 5515 E. Fifth St. for $1.35 million. The sale included 31,200 square feet of additional land, directly east of the property. David Montijo of CBRE’s Tucson office represented the buyer in negotiating the lender-approved short sale.  The seller, Pima Alvernon Building LLC of Tucson, was represented by Pat Welchert of PICOR Commercial, also in Tucson. 

 


LEASES

 

  • DALLAS- Sylan|Thirty developer Oaxaca Interests LLC leased a 2,000-square-foot space to local specialty coffee shop, The Pearl Cup, at Sylvan|Thirty shopping center in Oak Cliff.  It is located at the crossroads of West Dallas and North Oak Cliff on the northeast corner of Sylvan Avenue and Interstate 30. Michael Miller with SRS Real Estate Partners represented the landlord in the transaction.
  • GRAND PRAIRIE, TX-Select Medical Therapy signed a five year lease for 1,707 square feet at the Magna Carter building, 2950 W. Camp Wisdom Rd. Judy Zoch-Nitzinge with SCM Real Estate Services represented the landlord in this transaction. Patricia Tooth, with Jackson Cross Partners, represented the tenant.
  • HOUSTON-Post Oak Bank expanded and extended its 31,744-square-foot lease at 2000 West Loop South building. Bob Cromwell and Kevin Nolan of Moody Rambin Interests represented the building owner, SRI Nine 2000 WL LPRandy Mason with McAlpine Interests represented the tenant in negotiations.
  • PHOENIX-Bechtel Communications Inc. leased 18,116 square feet of office space at Corridors/2075 in Corridors Phoenix Business Park. Ashley Brooks, Jim Bayless and Kelley Morrison of CBRE represented Alter Group, the landlord.  David Barrett and Chuck Nixon of CBRE represented Bechtel.  Bechtel plans to take occupancy of its space in March. 
  • SCOTTSDALE, AZ- Terri’s Consign & Design leased 23,000 square feet in a 62-month deal in Hayden Plaza, 15000 N. Hayden Rd. Greg Hopley with Colliers International’s Scottsdale office, assisted the landlord, Larry Coffey of Lincoln, NE and the tenant in completing the transaction.

  • HOUSTON-Benedict (Ben) Sander joined Stewart National Title Services.
