SAN DIEGO-The first apartment development that combines affordable dwelling units for low-income families and support services for seniors as well as adults with special needs is opening in downtown San Diego. The Cedar Gateway Multifamily Apartments, located at 550 Cedar St., offers 23 units for people with special needs and 42 units for low-income families.

More than 60% of the complex contains single- and double-bedroom units. The Centre City Development Corp., Squier Properties and ROEM Corp. collaborated together to develop the $33-million project. For the full story, go to The San Diego Metropolitan .
